My name is Gio and I LOVE people. I’m fascinated with people—what they do, what they say, and why they do it. I love people so much that I got my Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and in Sociology from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
And now? I work for Freedom and Fashion, a non profit organization that uses fashion and art as a medium to bring awareness of social justice issues like human and sex trafficking. It’s my way to help and give back.
When people first meet me, they often think I’m a fighter and a trouble-maker. Sure, I fight AND cause trouble when I see injustice. In all honesty, I’m a fun-loving individual. I believe in the value of relationships, so I spend a lot of time investing and fostering them. As much as I like talking, I’m also a great listener. Communication, is after all, key to any successful relationship.
I love working out—it allows me to release steam in a healthy manner as well as help me look good. I love music, singing, blogging, and reading books and magazines. I love hanging out and being with the people I love and who love me back.
And most importantly, I’m a pro-hugger. I think I’m addicted to the oxytocin that it releases. So if I meet you, expect a hug.
